Management plans for protected areas – Concepts and proposals


Drawing on Latin American experience of drawing up and implementing management plans for protected areas, new strategies and proposals have been developed in a participatory process. The book explores the conditions under which such areas operate, and from this derives principles and criteria for protected area management. The management plan itself is divided into four independent instruments, which are then described in detail.
