Weltwärts

Young people seeking to undertake voluntary work in a developing country can now turn to the new "weltwärts" (worldwards) programme of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (
BMZ). The programme is open to young people between the ages of 18 and 28 who have completed school or further education and want to spend between 6 months and 2 years working in a developing country in Africa, Asia, Latin America or Eastern Europe.
