International Wilderness Camp in the Nationalpark Bayerischer Wald
As part of a project involving cooperation between the Nationalpark Bayerischer Wald and GIZ, examples of traditional accommodation used by the inhabitants of protected wilderness areas around the world have been set up at the International Wilderness Camp at Falkenstein, Germany. Mongolian yurts, an Amazon hut, a Vietnamese longhouse, a Chilean ruca, a Venezuelan cabaña, a mud hut from Benin and a Bavarian-Czech cattle shed invite visitors to think in concrete terms about their own lifestyle and that of others, the use of natural resources and the effects of global climate change.
